^12 (A)Whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted.

⁶ But ^(A)he gives more grace. Therefore it says, ^(B)“God opposes the proud, but ^(C)gives grace to the humble.”

⁵ Likewise, you who are younger, be subject to the elders. ^(A)Clothe yourselves, all of you, with humility towards one another, for ^(B)“God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.”
