But ^(B)a stone of stumbling and a rock of ^[b]offense
To both the houses of Israel,
As a trap and a snare to the inhabitants of Jerusalem.

⁵ Will a bird fall into a snare on the earth, where there is no ^[a]trap for it?
Will a snare spring up from the earth, if it has caught nothing at all?
