⁹ Do not hide your face^(A) from me,
    do not turn your servant away in anger;^(B)
    you have been my helper.^(C)
Do not reject me or forsake^(D) me,
    God my Savior.^(E)

¹⁶ I will lead^(A) the blind^(B) by ways they have not known,
    along unfamiliar paths I will guide them;
I will turn the darkness into light^(C) before them
    and make the rough places smooth.^(D)
These are the things I will do;
    I will not forsake^(E) them.

⁶ The Lord will call you back^(A)
    as if you were a wife deserted^(B) and distressed in spirit—
a wife who married young,^(C)
    only to be rejected,” says your God.
