Psalm 40:6-8

6 (A)You have not desired [a]sacrifice and meal offering;
You have [b]opened my ears;
You have not required burnt offering and sin offering.
7 Then I said, “Behold, I have come;
It is [c]written of me in the scroll of the book.
8 (B)I delight to do Your will, my God;
(C)Your Law is within my [d]heart.”

And I take no pleasure in the blood of bulls, lambs, or goats.

Who requires [b]of you this trampling of My courtyards?
13 Do not go on bringing your worthless offerings,
(C)Incense is an abomination to Me.
(D)New moon and Sabbath, the (E)proclamation of an assembly—
I cannot (F)endure wrongdoing and the festive assembly.
14 [c]I hate your new moon festivals and your (G)appointed feasts,
They have become a burden to Me;
I am (H)tired of bearing them.
15 So when you (I)spread out your hands in prayer,
(J)I will hide My eyes from you;
Yes, even though you (K)offer many prayers,
I will not be listening.

8 After saying above, “(D)Sacrifices and offerings and (E)whole burnt offerings and offerings (F)for sin You have not desired, nor have You taken pleasure in them” (which are offered according to the Law), 9 then He [a]said, “(G)Behold, I have come to do Your will.” He takes away the first in order to establish the second.
