⁷ The Lord Almighty^(A) is with us;^(B)
    the God of Jacob^(C) is our fortress.^(D)

¹⁸ Your thunder was heard in the whirlwind,^(A)
    your lightning^(B) lit up the world;
    the earth trembled and quaked.^(C)
19 Your path^(D) led through the sea,^(E)
    your way through the mighty waters,
    though your footprints were not seen.

⁴ After that comes the sound of his roar;
    he thunders^(A) with his majestic voice.^(B)
When his voice resounds,
    he holds nothing back.

³⁰ The Lord will cause people to hear his majestic voice^(A)
    and will make them see his arm^(B) coming down
with raging anger^(C) and consuming fire,^(D)
    with cloudburst, thunderstorm^(E) and hail.^(F)
