16 (A)He had in His right hand seven stars, (B)out of His mouth went a sharp two-edged sword, (C)and His countenance was like the sun shining in its strength. 17 And (D)when I saw Him, I fell at His feet as dead. But (E)He laid His right hand on me, saying [a]to me, “Do not be afraid; (F)I am the First and the Last. 18 (G)I am He who lives, and was dead, and behold, (H)I am alive forevermore. Amen. And (I)I have the keys of [b]Hades and of Death.

16 In his right hand he held seven stars,(A) and coming out of his mouth was a sharp, double-edged sword.(B) His face was like the sun(C) shining in all its brilliance.
17 When I saw him, I fell at his feet(D) as though dead. Then he placed his right hand on me(E) and said: “Do not be afraid.(F) I am the First and the Last.(G) 18 I am the Living One; I was dead,(H) and now look, I am alive for ever and ever!(I) And I hold the keys of death and Hades.(J)
