12 Here is the [a]patience of the saints, they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.
13 And I heard a voice from heaven saying, Write, Blessed are the dead who die [b]in the Lord from henceforth: yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labors; for their works follow with them.
14 And I saw, and behold, a white cloud; and on the cloud I saw one sitting like unto a son of man, having on his head a golden crown, and in his hand a sharp sickle.

12 This calls for patient endurance(A) on the part of the people of God(B) who keep his commands(C) and remain faithful to Jesus.
13 Then I heard a voice from heaven say, “Write this: Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord(D) from now on.”
“Yes,” says the Spirit,(E) “they will rest from their labor, for their deeds will follow them.”
