They say they are Jews, but they are not true Jews. They are a synagogue ·that belongs to [^Lof] Satan. ¹⁰ Do not be afraid of what you are about to suffer. I tell you, the devil will put some of you in prison to test you, and you will ·suffer [be persecuted/afflicted] for ten days [^Cperhaps a symbolic number meaning a significant and definite time]. But be faithful, even if you have to die, and I will give you the ·crown [^Ca wreath worn to indicate high status or as a reward] of life.
