1 Paul, a servant of Christ Jesus, called to be an apostle^(A) and set apart^(B) for the gospel of God^(C)—

²⁴The Lord’s^(A) slave must not quarrel,^(B) but must be gentle to everyone, able to teach,^[a] and patient,

²⁴And the Lord’s servant must not be quarrelsome but must be kind to everyone, able to teach, not resentful.^(A)
