⁴ and was appointed to be the powerful^(A) Son of God^(B) according to the Spirit of holiness^[a] by the resurrection of the dead.

¹⁴ For the unbelieving husband is made holy^(A) by the wife, and the unbelieving wife is made holy by the husband.^[a] Otherwise your children would be unclean, but as it is they are holy.

7 So then, dear friends, since we have these promises,^(A) let us cleanse ourselves from every impurity of the flesh and spirit,^(B) bringing holiness to completion^[a] in the fear of God.^(C)
