18 For he that in these things serveth Christ is acceptable to God, and approved of men.
19 Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace, and things wherewith one may edify another. 20 For meat destroy not the work of God. All things indeed are pure; but it is evil for that man who eateth with offence.

18 because anyone who serves Christ in this way is pleasing to God and receives human approval.(A)
19 Let us therefore make every effort to do what leads to peace(B) and to mutual edification.(C) 20 Do not destroy the work of God for the sake of food.(D) All food is clean,(E) but it is wrong for a person to eat anything that causes someone else to stumble.(F)
