So, accept one another, as Christ has accepted you. Then people will know that God is great.

What I say is this. Christ came to serve the Jews. He did this to prove that what God said was true. He proved that God kept his promises to the fathers.

He did this so that people who are not Jews would praise God because he is kind. The holy writings say, `So I will praise you among the people who are not Jews. I will sing songs to your name.'

Accept one another,(A) then, just as Christ accepted you, in order to bring praise to God. For I tell you that Christ has become a servant of the Jews[a](B) on behalf of God’s truth, so that the promises(C) made to the patriarchs might be confirmed and, moreover, that the Gentiles(D) might glorify God(E) for his mercy. As it is written:

“Therefore I will praise you among the Gentiles;
    I will sing the praises of your name.”[b](F)
