Jewish Violation of the Law

¹⁷ Now if^[a] you call yourself a Jew, and rest in the law,^(A) boast in God,

²³ You who boast in the law,^(A) do you dishonor God by breaking the law?

² If Abraham was justified^[a] by works,^(A) he has something to brag about—but not before God.^[b]

²⁹ so that no one^[a] can boast in His presence.^{(A) 30} But it is from Him that you are in Christ Jesus, who became God-given wisdom for us—our righteousness,^(B) sanctification,^(C) and redemption,^{(D) 31} in order that, as it is written:^(E) The one who boasts must boast in the Lord.^(F)[b]
