⁹There will be trouble and distress for every human being who does evil:^(A) first for the Jew, then for the Gentile;^(B)

⁸we are ^(A)afflicted in every way, but not ^(B)crushed; ^(C)perplexed, but not despairing;

⁸We are hard pressed on every side,^(A) but not crushed; perplexed,^(B) but not in despair;
