Romans 4:18-20
Good News Translation
18 (A)Abraham believed and hoped, even when there was no reason for hoping, and so became “the father of many nations.” Just as the scripture says, “Your descendants will be as many as the stars.” 19 (B)He was then almost one hundred years old; but his faith did not weaken when he thought of his body, which was already practically dead, or of the fact that Sarah could not have children. 20 His faith did not leave him, and he did not doubt God's promise; his faith filled him with power, and he gave praise to God.

New International Version
18 Against all hope, Abraham in hope believed and so became the father of many nations,(A) just as it had been said to him, “So shall your offspring be.”[a](B) 19 Without weakening in his faith, he faced the fact that his body was as good as dead(C)—since he was about a hundred years old(D)—and that Sarah’s womb was also dead.(E) 20 Yet he did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened(F) in his faith and gave glory to God,(G)
