Romans 6:17-20
Holman Christian Standard Bible
17 But thank God that, although you used to be slaves of sin,(A) you obeyed from the heart that pattern of teaching you were transferred[a] to,(B) 18 and having been liberated from sin,(C) you became enslaved to righteousness. 19 I am using a human analogy[b](D) because of the weakness of your flesh.[c] For just as you offered the parts[d] of yourselves as slaves to moral impurity, and to greater and greater lawlessness, so now offer them as slaves to righteousness, which results in sanctification. 20 For when you were slaves of sin, you were free from allegiance to righteousness.[e](E)

Romans 6:17-20
New International Version
17 But thanks be to God(A) that, though you used to be slaves to sin,(B) you have come to obey from your heart the pattern of teaching(C) that has now claimed your allegiance. 18 You have been set free from sin(D) and have become slaves to righteousness.(E)
19 I am using an example from everyday life(F) because of your human limitations. Just as you used to offer yourselves as slaves to impurity and to ever-increasing wickedness, so now offer yourselves as slaves to righteousness(G) leading to holiness. 20 When you were slaves to sin,(H) you were free from the control of righteousness.(I)
Romans 6:17-20
King James Version
17 But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you.
18 Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness.
19 I speak after the manner of men because of the infirmity of your flesh: for as ye have yielded your members servants to uncleanness and to iniquity unto iniquity; even so now yield your members servants to righteousness unto holiness.
20 For when ye were the servants of sin, ye were free from righteousness.
