New International Version

²³For the wages of sin is death,^(A) but the gift of God is eternal life^(B) in^[a] Christ Jesus our Lord.

¹⁵Then desire ^(A)when it has conceived gives birth to sin, and ^(B)sin when it is fully grown brings forth death.

¹⁵Then, after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin;^(A) and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death.^(B)
