27 And the Searcher of Hearts knows what the spirit is thinking, because the spirit pleads for God’s people according to God’s will. 28 We know, in fact, that God works all things together for good with those who love him, who are called according to his purpose. 29 Those he foreknew, you see, he also marked out in advance to be shaped according to the model of the image of his son, so that he might be the firstborn of a large family.

27 And he who searches our hearts(A) knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes(B) for God’s people in accordance with the will of God.
28 And we know that in all things God works for the good(C) of those who love him, who[a] have been called(D) according to his purpose.(E) 29 For those God foreknew(F) he also predestined(G) to be conformed to the image of his Son,(H) that he might be the firstborn(I) among many brothers and sisters.
