7 Because the way-of-thinking of the flesh is hostility toward God; for it is not subject[a] to the Law of God, for it is not even able. 8 And the ones being in the flesh are not able to please God. 9 But you are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit— since[b] the Spirit of God is dwelling in you. But if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, this one is not of [c] Him.

Romans 8:7-9
New International Version
7 The mind governed by the flesh is hostile to God;(A) it does not submit to God’s law, nor can it do so. 8 Those who are in the realm of the flesh(B) cannot please God.
9 You, however, are not in the realm of the flesh(C) but are in the realm of the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God lives in you.(D) And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ,(E) they do not belong to Christ.
