Romans 8:8-10

8 Thus, those who identify with their old nature cannot please God.
9 But you, you do not identify with your old nature but with the Spirit — provided the Spirit of God is living inside you, for anyone who doesn’t have the Spirit of the Messiah doesn’t belong to him. 10 However, if the Messiah is in you, then, on the one hand, the body is dead because of sin; but, on the other hand, the Spirit is giving life because God considers you righteous.

New International Version
8 Those who are in the realm of the flesh(A) cannot please God.
9 You, however, are not in the realm of the flesh(B) but are in the realm of the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God lives in you.(C) And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ,(D) they do not belong to Christ. 10 But if Christ is in you,(E) then even though your body is subject to death because of sin, the Spirit gives life[a] because of righteousness.
