29 (A)And as Isaiah said before, Except the Lord of [a]hosts had left us a [b]seed, we had been made as Sodom, and had been like to Gomorrah.

30 [c]What shall we say then? That the Gentiles which followed [d]not righteousness, have attained unto righteousness, even the righteousness which is of faith.

31 [e]But Israel which followed the Law of righteousness, could not attain unto the Law of righteousness.

30 What then shall we say?(C) That the Gentiles, who did not pursue righteousness, have obtained it, a righteousness that is by faith;(D) 31 but the people of Israel, who pursued the law as the way of righteousness,(E) have not attained their goal.(F)
