8 So those who are the children of the flesh are not the children of God, but the children of the promise are counted as descendants. 9 For this is the word of promise, “At this time I will come, and Sarah shall have a son.”[a]
10 Not only that, but Rebekah also had conceived by one man, our father Isaac.

8 In other words, it is not the children by physical descent who are God’s children,(A) but it is the children of the promise who are regarded as Abraham’s offspring.(B) 9 For this was how the promise was stated: “At the appointed time I will return, and Sarah will have a son.”[a](C)
