⁴ in order that the law’s requirement would be accomplished^(A) in us who do not walk according to the flesh^(B) but according to the Spirit.

¹⁶ And most certainly, the mystery of godliness^(A) is great:

⁴ By these He has given us very great and precious promises,^(A) so that through them you may share in the divine nature,^(B) escaping the corruption that is in the world because of evil desires.

¹⁰ especially those who follow the polluting desires of the flesh and despise authority.^(A)

Bold, arrogant people! They do not tremble when they blaspheme the glorious ones;
