Ruth Becomes Boaz’ Wife

4 Now Boaz went up to the gate and sat down there, and behold, ^(A)the kinsman redeemer of whom Boaz spoke was passing by, so he said, “Turn aside, ^[a]my fellow, sit down here.” And he turned aside and sat down.

² And Absalom used to rise early and ^(A)stand beside the way to the gate; and when any man had a case to come to the king for judgment, Absalom would call to him and say, “From what city are you?” And he would say, “Your servant is from one of the tribes of Israel.”
