12 One of them, a prophet of their own, said, “(A)Cretans are always liars, evil beasts, lazy gluttons.” 13 This testimony is true. For this reason (B)reprimand them (C)severely so that they may be (D)sound in the faith, 14 not paying attention to Jewish (E)myths and (F)commandments of men who (G)turn away from the truth.

New International Version
12 One of Crete’s own prophets(A) has said it: “Cretans(B) are always liars, evil brutes, lazy gluttons.”[a] 13 This saying is true. Therefore rebuke(C) them sharply, so that they will be sound in the faith(D) 14 and will pay no attention to Jewish myths(E) or to the merely human commands(F) of those who reject the truth.(G)
