7 Were not these the words that the Lord proclaimed through the prophets in the past, when Jerusalem was inhabited and enjoying peace, as were her surrounding towns, and when the Negeb and the foothills were inhabited?
8 This word of the Lord came to Zechariah: 9 Thus says the Lord of hosts: Render fair judgments, and show kindness and compassion to one another.

7 Are these not the words the Lord proclaimed through the earlier prophets(A) when Jerusalem and its surrounding towns were at rest(B) and prosperous, and the Negev and the western foothills(C) were settled?’”(D)
8 And the word of the Lord came again to Zechariah: 9 “This is what the Lord Almighty said: ‘Administer true justice;(E) show mercy and compassion to one another.(F)
