17 and do not plot evil against another in your heart, or love perjury. For all these are practices that I hate, says the Lord.
18 The Saving Fast. The word of the Lord came to me: 19 Thus says the Lord of hosts: The fast of the fourth month, and the fasts of the fifth, the seventh, and the tenth months, shall be periods of joy and gladness and of cheerful festivals for the house of Judah. Therefore, love truth and peace.[a]

17 do not plot evil(A) against each other, and do not love to swear falsely.(B) I hate all this,” declares the Lord.
18 The word of the Lord Almighty came to me.
19 This is what the Lord Almighty says: “The fasts of the fourth,(C) fifth,(D) seventh(E) and tenth(F) months will become joyful(G) and glad occasions and happy festivals for Judah. Therefore love truth(H) and peace.”
