Zephaniah 1:10-12

American Standard Version

¹⁰And in that day, saith Jehovah, there shall be the noise of a cry from the fish gate, and a wailing from the ^[a]second quarter, and a great crashing from the hills. ¹¹Wail, ye inhabitants of ^[b]Maktesh; for all ^[c]the people of Canaan are undone; all they that were laden with silver are cut off. ¹²And it shall come to pass at that time, that I will search Jerusalem with lamps; and I will ^[d]punish the men that are ^[e]settled on their lees, that say in their heart, Jehovah will not do good, neither will he do evil.

New International Version

¹⁰“On that day,^(A)”
    declares the Lord,
“a cry will go up from the Fish Gate,^(B)
    wailing^(C) from the New Quarter,
    and a loud crash from the hills.
¹¹Wail,^(D) you who live in the market district^[a];
    all your merchants will be wiped out,
    all who trade with^[b] silver will be destroyed.^(E)
¹²At that time I will search Jerusalem with lamps
    and punish those who are complacent,^(F)
    who are like wine left on its dregs,^(G)
who think, ‘The Lord will do nothing,^(H)
    either good or bad.’^(I)
