Herein is love: not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation [that is, the atoning sacrifice, and the satisfying offering] for our sins [fulfilling God’s requirement for justice against sin and placating His wrath].
In this is love: not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation (the atoning sacrifice) for our sins.
Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
Love consists in this: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the atoning sacrifice for our sins.
This is love: it is not that we loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son as the sacrifice that deals with our sins.
Here is what love is: not that we have loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the kapparah for our sins.
Real love isn't our love for God, but his love for us. God sent his Son to be the sacrifice by which our sins are forgiven.
Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son a propitiation for our sins.
In this is love— not that we have loved God, but that He loved us, and sent-forth His Son to be the satisfaction for our sins.
In this is charity: not as though we had loved God, but because he hath first loved us, and sent his Son to be a propitiation for our sins.
True love is God’s love for us, not our love for God. He sent his Son as the way to take away our sins.
This shows what love is: It is not that we have loved God, but that he loved us. He loved us so much that he sent his Son to save us from sin. He sent Jesus to die as a sacrifice, to take the punishment for our sins.
This is love: not that we have loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the atoning sacrifice for our sins.
In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
This is what real love is: It is not our love for God; it is God’s love for us. He sent his Son ·to die in our place to take away our sins [as the atoning sacrifice/T propitiation for our sins; see 2:2].
Herein is that love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be a reconciliation for our sins.
This is love: not that we have loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the payment for our sins.
This is what love is: it is not that we have loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the means by which our sins are forgiven.
Love consists in this: not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
True love is God’s love for us, not our love for God. God sent his Son to die in our place to take away our sins.
This is love: not that we have loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the atoning sacrifice for our sins.
To us, the greatest demonstration of God’s love for us has been his sending his only Son into the world to give us life through him. We see real love, not in that fact that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son to make personal atonement for our sins.
In this does the charity consist, not because we had loved God, but because he loved us and has sent his Son to be the reconciliation for our sins.
Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
In this is love, not that we have loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
In this is love: not that we have loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
In this act we see what real love is: it is not our love for God but his love for us when he sent his Son to satisfy God’s anger against our sins.
My beloved friends, let us continue to love each other since love comes from God. Everyone who loves is born of God and experiences a relationship with God. The person who refuses to love doesn’t know the first thing about God, because God is love—so you can’t know him if you don’t love. This is how God showed his love for us: God sent his only Son into the world so we might live through him. This is the kind of love we are talking about—not that we once upon a time loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to clear away our sins and the damage they’ve done to our relationship with God.
In this is love: not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the atoning sacrifice for our sins.
In this is · love, not that we have loved · God but that he loved us and sent · his Son as a propitiation for · our sins.
This is love: not that we have loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the payment for our sins.
In this is love: not that we have loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as expiation for our sins.
In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
This is what love is: not that we have loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as expiation for our sins.
This is what real love is: It is not our love for God; it is God’s love for us. He sent his Son to die in our place to take away our sins.
In this is love: not that we have loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the atoning sacrifice for our sins.
Here is what love is. It is not that we loved God. It is that he loved us and sent his Son to give his life to pay for our sins.
This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.
This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.
In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
This is love! It is not that we loved God but that He loved us. For God sent His Son to pay for our sins with His own blood.
This is real love—not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins.
Herein is love – not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
In this is love, not that we loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the atoning sacrifice for our sins.
In this is love, not that we loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the atoning sacrifice for our sins.
In this is love, not that we loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the atoning sacrifice for our sins.
In this is love, not that we loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the atoning sacrifice for our sins.
Love consists in this: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his son to be the sacrifice that would atone for our sins.
In this is ahavah, not that we have had ahavah for Hashem, but that Hashem had ahavah for us and gave His Ben HaElohim as a kapporah for chattoteinu.
In this is that love: not that we loved God, but that He loved us, and sent His Son to be a reconciliation for our sins.
In this is love, not that we loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the expiation for our sins.
In this is love, not that we loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the expiation for our sins.
This is love—not that we have loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son as an atonement for our sins.
This is the embodiment of true love: not that we have loved God first, but that He loved us and sent His unique Son on a special mission to become an atoning sacrifice for our sins.
In this is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son as the atoning sacrifice for our sins.
This is love! We did not love God, but he loved us. And he sent his Son to be the sacrifice to pay for the wrong things we have done.
In this thing is charity, not as we had loved God, but for he first loved us, and sent his Son forgiveness for our sins [and sent his Son helping for our sins].
in this is the love, not that we loved God, but that He did love us, and did send His Son a propitiation for our sins.
