He that saith, “I know Him,” and keepeth not His commandments, is a liar and the truth is not in him.
He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him;
Whoever says, “I have come to know Him,” but does not habitually keep [focused on His precepts and obey] His commandments (teachings), is a liar, and the truth [of the divine word] is not in him.
Whoever says, I know Him [I perceive, recognize, understand, and am acquainted with Him] but fails to keep and obey His commandments (teachings) is a liar, and the Truth [of the Gospel] is not in him.
He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
The one who says, “I have come to know him,” and yet doesn’t keep his commands, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
The one who claims, “I know him,” while not keeping his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in this person.
Anyone who says, “I know him,” but isn’t obeying his commands is a liar — the truth is not in him.
But if we claim to know him and don't obey him, we are lying and the truth isn't in our hearts.
He that says, I know him, and does not keep his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him;
The one claiming that “I have come-to-know Him” and not keeping His commandments is a liar, and the truth is not in this one.
He who saith that he knoweth him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
If we say we know God but do not obey his commands, we are lying. The truth is not in us.
Someone may say, ‘I belong to God.’ But if he does not obey God's commands, that person is telling a lie. He is not living in the way that God's true message teaches us.
The one who says, “I know him,” but does not keep his commands is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
Whoever says “I know him” but does not keep his commandments is a liar, and the truth is not in him,

The person who says, “I have come to know him,” but does not continually keep his commandments is a liar, and the truth has no place in that person.
It is only when we obey God’s laws that we can be quite sure that we really know him. The man who claims to know God but does not obey his laws is not only a liar but lives in self-delusion. In practice, the more a man learns to obey God’s laws the more truly and fully does he express his love for him. Obedience is the test of whether we really live “in God” or not. The life of a man who professes to be living in God must bear the stamp of Christ.
He that says, I have known him, and does not keep his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
The one who says, “I have come to know Him,” and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him;
The one who says “I have come to know him,” and does not keep his commandments is a liar, and the truth is not in this person.
Someone may say, “I am a Christian; I am on my way to heaven; I belong to Christ.” But if he doesn’t do what Christ tells him to, he is a liar.
If someone claims, “I know him well!” but doesn’t keep his commandments, he’s obviously a liar. His life doesn’t match his words. But the one who keeps God’s word is the person in whom we see God’s mature love. This is the only way to be sure we’re in God. Anyone who claims to be intimate with God ought to live the same kind of life Jesus lived.
Whoever says, “I know Him,” and does not keep His commandments is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
