And the son of Carmi: Achar, the troubler of Israel, who transgressed in the thing accursed.
And the sons of Carmi: Achar, the troubler of Israel, who committed a trespass in the devoted thing.
The son of Carmi: Achar, the troubler of Israel, who violated the ban [by taking things from Jericho that had been banned].
The son of Carmi: Achar, the troubler of Israel, who transgressed in the matter of the devoted things.
And the sons of Carmi; Achar, the troubler of Israel, who transgressed in the thing accursed.
Carmi’s son: Achar, who brought trouble on Israel when he was unfaithful by taking the things set apart for destruction.
Carmi’s family: Achar, who made trouble for Israel by disobeying the law dedicating war spoils to God.
The sons of Karmi: ‘Akhar [troubler], who troubled Isra’el by violating the rule concerning things set aside to be destroyed.
Achan, who was a descendant of Zerah and the son of Carmi, caused trouble for Israel, because he kept for himself things that belonged only to the Lord.
And the sons of Carmi: Achar, the troubler of Israel, who transgressed in the accursed thing.
And the sons of a Charmi: Achar, who troubled Israel, and sinned by the theft of the anathema.
Zimri’s son was Carmi. Carmi’s son was Achar. Achar was the man who brought many troubles to Israel. Achar kept the things he took in battle, but he was supposed to give them all to God.
Carmi's son was Achar. Achar caused a lot of trouble for Israel. He took for himself things that belonged to God.
The son of Carmi was Achar, the troubler of Israel, who was unfaithful when he stole things that had been devoted to destruction.
The son of Carmi: Achan, the troubler of Israel, who broke faith in the matter of the devoted thing;

Carmi’s son was ·Achan [or Achar; C “disaster”; Josh. 7:1], ·who caused trouble for [the troubler of] Israel because he ·took [stole] ·things [plunder] that had been ·given to the Lord to be destroyed [set apart/devoted to the Lord; Josh. 7:16–26].
And the son of Carmi, Achar that troubled Israel, transgressing in the thing excommunicate.
Carmi’s son was Achar, who caused trouble for Israel by taking goods that were claimed by God.
Achan son of Carmi, one of Zerah's descendants, brought disaster on the people of Israel by keeping loot that had been devoted to God.
Carmi’s son: Achar, who brought trouble on Israel when he was unfaithful by taking the things set apart for destruction.
Carmi’s son was Achan. He caused trouble for Israel because he took things that had been given to the Lord to be destroyed.

The son of Carmi was Achar, the troubler of Israel, who violated what was devoted to destruction.
The son of Carmi: Achar, the troubler of Israel, who acted unfaithfully in the matter of the devoted thing.
(Achan, the son of Carmi, was the man who robbed God and was such a troublemaker for his nation.)
Judah had Er, Onan, and Shelah; their mother was Bathshua the Canaanite. Er, Judah’s firstborn, was so bad before God that God killed him. Judah also had Perez and Zerah by his daughter-in-law Tamar—a total of five sons. Perez had Hezron and Hamul; Zerah had Zimri, Ethan, Heman, Calcol, and Darda—five sons. Carmi had Achar, who brought doom on Israel when he violated a holy ban. Ethan’s son was Azariah. And Hezron had Jerahmeel, Ram, and Chelubai.
The sons of Karmi were Achar, the troubler of Israel, who acted unfaithfully in regard to the ban.
Carmi’s son was Achar, who caused trouble for Israel by taking goods that were claimed by God.
The sons of Zimri: Carmi. The sons of Carmi: Achar, who brought trouble upon Israel by violating the ban.
The son of Carmi was Achar, the one who brought disaster on Israel by violating the ban.

Carmi’s son was Achan, who caused trouble for Israel because he took things that had been given to the Lord to be destroyed.

The son of Karmi was Achar. He brought trouble on Israel. Some things that had been set apart to the Lord in a special way to be destroyed. He took some of those things. When he did that, he disobeyed the Lord’s command.
