Colossians 1:21
Print
And you, who were once alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, even now hath He reconciled
And you, being in time past alienated and enemies in your mind in your evil works,
And although you were at one time estranged and alienated and hostile-minded [toward Him], participating in evil things,
And although you at one time were estranged and alienated from Him and were of hostile attitude of mind in your wicked activities,
And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled
Once you were alienated and hostile in your minds as expressed in your evil actions.
Once you were alienated from God and you were enemies with him in your minds, which was shown by your evil actions.
In other words, you, who at one time were separated from God and had a hostile attitude towards him because of your wicked deeds,
You used to be far from God. Your thoughts made you his enemies, and you did evil things.
And you, who once were alienated and enemies in mind by wicked works, yet now has it reconciled
Indeed you were formerly being excluded, and were enemies in the mind in-connection-with evil works.
And you, whereas you were some time alienated and enemies in mind in evil works:
At one time you were separated from God. You were his enemies in your minds, because the evil you did was against him.
As for you, you were far away from God at one time. You thought bad things and you did bad things. As a result, you were God's enemies.
At one time, you were alienated from God and hostile in your thinking as expressed through your evil deeds.
And you, who once were alienated and hostile in mind, doing evil deeds,
And you, who once were alienated and hostile in mind, doing evil deeds,
At one time you were ·separated [alienated; estranged] from God. You were his enemies in your minds, ·and the evil things you did were against God [or because of your evil deeds].
And you which were in times past strangers and enemies, because your minds were set in evil works, hath he now also reconciled,
Once you were separated from God. The evil things you did showed your hostile attitude.
At one time you were far away from God and were his enemies because of the evil things you did and thought.
Once you were alienated and hostile in your minds because of your evil actions.
At one time you were separated from God. You were God’s enemies in your minds because the evil deeds you did were against God.
You who were once alienated with a hostile attitude, doing evil,
And you yourselves, who were strangers to God, and, in fact, through the evil things you had done, his spiritual enemies, he has now reconciled through the death of his body on the cross, so that he might welcome you to his presence clean and pure, without blame or reproach. This reconciliation assumes, of course, that you maintain a firm position in the faith, and do not allow yourselves to be shifted away from the hope of the Gospel, which you have heard, and which, indeed, the whole world is now having an opportunity of hearing.
And you, that were in another time alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now he has reconciled you
And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled
And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled
And although you were formerly alienated and enemies in mind and in evil deeds,
And although you were formerly alienated and enemies in attitude, because of your evil deeds,
This includes you who were once so far away from God. You were his enemies and hated him and were separated from him by your evil thoughts and actions, yet now he has brought you back as his friends.
You yourselves are a case study of what he does. At one time you all had your backs turned to God, thinking rebellious thoughts of him, giving him trouble every chance you got. But now, by giving himself completely at the Cross, actually dying for you, Christ brought you over to God’s side and put your lives together, whole and holy in his presence. You don’t walk away from a gift like that! You stay grounded and steady in that bond of trust, constantly tuned in to the Message, careful not to be distracted or diverted. There is no other Message—just this one. Every creature under heaven gets this same Message. I, Paul, am a messenger of this Message. * * *
And you, who were formerly alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now He has reconciled
And you who were at one time alienated and hostile in mind, doing · · evil deeds,
Once you were separated from God. The evil things you did showed your hostile attitude.
And you who once were alienated and hostile in mind because of evil deeds
And although you were previously alienated and hostile in attitude, engaged in evil deeds,
And although you were formerly alienated and hostile in mind, engaged in evil deeds,
You yourselves were once alienated and hostile in your intent because of your evil deeds.
At one time you were separated from God. You were his enemies in your minds, and the evil things you did were against God.
And you were at one time strangers and enemies in your minds as expressed through your evil deeds,
At one time you were separated from God. You were enemies in your minds because of your evil ways.
Once you were alienated from God and were enemies in your minds because of your evil behavior.
Once you were alienated from God and were enemies in your minds because of your evil behaviour.
And you, who once were alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now He has reconciled
At one time you were strangers to God and your minds were at war with Him. Your thoughts and actions were wrong.
This includes you who were once far away from God. You were his enemies, separated from him by your evil thoughts and actions.
And you, who were in times past strangers and enemies because your minds were set in evil works, he has now reconciled
And you who were once estranged and hostile in mind, doing evil deeds,
And you who were once estranged and hostile in mind, doing evil deeds,
And you who were once estranged and hostile in mind, doing evil deeds,
And you who were once estranged and hostile in mind, doing evil deeds,
So what about you? Well, there was a time when you were excluded! You were enemies in your thinking, and in wicked behavior.
And you, once having been alienated and oyvim (enemies) in the mind by ma’asim hara’im (evil deeds),
And you also - who were in times past estranged and hostile because your minds were set on evil works - He has now reconciled
And you, who once were estranged and hostile in mind, doing evil deeds,
And you, who once were estranged and hostile in mind, doing evil deeds,
Once you were alienated from God and hostile in your attitude by wicked deeds.
You were once at odds with God, wicked in your ways and evil in your minds;
You, being in past times alienated and enemies in your mind in your evil deeds,
At one time you were far away from God. You hated him in your hearts and you did wrong things.
And when ye were sometime aliened, and enemies by wit in evil works, now he hath reconciled you
And you -- once being alienated, and enemies in the mind, in the evil works, yet now did he reconcile,
