Joseph gave orders for Jacob's body to be embalmed,
And Joseph commanded his servants the physicians to embalm his father. And the physicians embalmed Israel.
And he commanded his servants the physicians to embalm his father.
Joseph commanded his servants to prepare his father’s body. (These servants were doctors.) The doctors prepared Jacob’s body to be buried. They prepared the body in the special way of the Egyptians.
Then Joseph told some of his servants to take Jacob's body. They knew how to put special oil on the body so that it would not become spoiled. Joseph's servants did what he told them to do.
Joseph commanded the physicians who served him to embalm his father, so the physicians embalmed Israel.
And Joseph commanded his servants the physicians to embalm his father. So the physicians embalmed Israel.

He commanded the doctors who served him to ·prepare his father’s body [embalm his father], so the doctors ·prepared Jacob’s body to be buried [L embalmed Israel; C another name for Jacob; 32:28].

After this, he issued orders to his physician servants to embalm his father. So they embalmed Israel.
And Joseph commanded his slaves, the physicians, to embalm his father; and the physicians embalmed Israel.

Joseph then instructed the physicians in his employ to embalm his father. The physicians embalmed Israel. The embalming took forty days, the period required for embalming. There was public mourning by the Egyptians for seventy days.

and he commanded his servants, (the) leeches, that they should anoint his father with sweet smelling spiceries. (and he commanded the physicians, his servants, to anoint his father with sweet smelling spices.)
