And Esau said to Jacob, “Feed me, I pray thee, with that same red pottage, for I am faint”; therefore was his name called Edom.

and Esau said to Jacob, “Please, let me have a quick swallow of that red stuff there, because I am exhausted and famished.” For that reason Esau was [also] called Edom (Red).
And Esau said to Jacob, I beg of you, let me have some of that red lentil stew to eat, for I am faint and famished! That is why his name was called Edom [red].
And Esau said to Jacob, Feed me, I pray thee, with that same red pottage; for I am faint: therefore was his name called Edom.
He said to Jacob, “Let me eat some of that red stuff, because I’m exhausted.” That is why he was also named Edom.
and said to Jacob, “I’m starving! Let me devour some of this red stuff.” That’s why his name is Edom.
and said to Ya‘akov, “Please! Let me gulp down some of that red stuff — that red stuff! I’m exhausted!” (This is why he was called Edom [red].)
and said, “I'm starving to death! Here and now give me some of that red stew!” That's how Esau got the name “Edom.”
And Esau said to Jacob, Feed me, I pray thee, with the red—the red thing there, for I am faint. Therefore was his name called Edom.
Said: Give me of this red pottage, for I am exceeding faint. For which reason his name was called Edom.
So Esau said to Jacob, “I am weak with hunger. Let me have some of that red soup.” (That is why people call him “Red.”)
He said to Jacob ‘Quick, let me have some of that red food! I am very hungry.’ (That is why he was also called Edom.)
Esau said to Jacob, “Come on, let me eat some of that red stew, that red stew there, because I am starving.” (That is why Esau was also called Edom.)
And Esau said to Jacob, “Let me eat some of that red stew, for I am exhausted!” (Therefore his name was called Edom.)
And Esau said to Jacob, “Let me eat some of that red stew, for I am exhausted!” (Therefore his name was called Edom.)
So Esau said to Jacob, “Let me ·eat [gulp down] some of that red ·soup [or stuff], because I am ·weak with hunger [famished; starving].” (That is why people call him Edom [C sounds like Hebrew for “red”].)
Then Esau said to Jacob, Let me eat, I pray thee, of that pottage so red, for I am weary. Therefore was his name called Edom.
So Esau said to Jacob, “Let me have the whole pot of red stuff to eat—that red stuff—I’m exhausted.” This is why he was called Edom.
and said to Jacob, “I'm starving; give me some of that red stuff.” (That is why he was named Edom.)
He said to Jacob, “Let me eat some of that red stuff, because I’m exhausted.” That is why he was also named Edom.

One day Jacob was cooking a stew. Esau came in from the field, starved. Esau said to Jacob, “Give me some of that red stew—I’m starved!” That’s how he came to be called Edom (Red).
So Esau said to Jacob, “Please feed me some of that red stew, for I am famished.” Therefore his name was called Edom.
So Esau said to Jacob, “Let me have the whole pot of red stuff to eat—that red stuff—I’m exhausted.” This is why he was called Edom.

He said to Jacob, “Quick! I’m very hungry! Let me have some of that red stew!” That’s why he was also named Edom.
He said to Jacob, “Quick, let me have some of that red stew! I’m famished!” (That is why he was also called Edom.)
He said to Jacob, ‘Quick, let me have some of that red stew! I’m famished!’ (That is why he was also called Edom.)
And Esau said to Jacob, “Please feed me with that same red stew, for I am weary.” Therefore his name was called Edom.
Esau said to Jacob, “Let me eat some of that red meat, for I am very hungry.” That is why his name was called Edom.
Esau said to Jacob, “I’m starved! Give me some of that red stew!” (This is how Esau got his other name, Edom, which means “red.”)

Esau (to Jacob): Please let me have some of that red stew you have there. I’m famished! (That’s why he was nicknamed Edom, which means “red.”)
Esau said to Jacob, “Please feed me with some of that red stew, for I am famished.” Therefore his name was called Edom.
he said to Jacob, Give thou to me of this red seething, for I am full weary; for which cause his name was called Edom (and for this reason he was called Edom, or Red).
