and the sound of a trumpet and the voice of words, which voice those who heard entreated that the Word should not be spoken to them any more.
and the sound of a trumpet, and the voice of words; which voice they that heard entreated that no word more should be spoken unto them;
and to the blast of a trumpet and a sound of words [such that] those who heard it begged that nothing more be said to them.
And to the blast of a trumpet and a voice whose words make the listeners beg that nothing more be said to them.
And the sound of a trumpet, and the voice of words; which voice they that heard intreated that the word should not be spoken to them any more:
to the blast of a trumpet, and the sound of words. Those who heard it begged that not another word be spoken to them,
a blast of a trumpet, and a sound of words that made the ones who heard it beg that there wouldn’t be one more word.
to the sound of a shofar, and to a voice whose words made the hearers beg that no further message be given to them —
or trumpet sound. The people of Israel heard a voice speak. But they begged it to stop,
and trumpet's sound, and voice of words; which they that heard, excusing themselves, declined [the] word being addressed to them any more:
and a blast of a trumpet, and a sound of words— of which, the ones having heard begged that a word not be added to them.
And the sound of a trumpet, and the voice of words, which they that heard excused themselves, that the word might not be spoken to them:
There is no sound of a trumpet or a voice speaking words like those they heard. When they heard the voice, they begged never to hear another word.
There was the loud sound of a trumpet. There was a powerful voice that spoke to them. When the people heard that voice, they were very afraid. So they asked that the voice would not speak to them any more.

You have not come to the noise of a trumpet [Ex. 19:16, 19] or to the sound of ·a voice [L words] like the one the people of Israel heard and begged not to hear another word [C fearing God’s wrath, Israel asked Moses to mediate God’s message; Ex. 20:19; Deut. 5:5; 18:16].
Neither unto the sound of a trumpet, and the voice of words, which they that heard it, excused themselves, that the word should not be spoken to them any more.

You have not had to approach things which your senses could experience as they did in the old days—flaming fire, black darkness, rushing wind and out of it a trumpet-blast, a voice speaking human words. So terrible was that voice that those who heard it begged and prayed that it might stop speaking, for what it had already commanded was more than they could bear—‘And if so much as a beast touches the mountain, it shall be stoned or thrust through with an arrow’. So fearful was the spectacle that Moses cried out, ‘I am exceedingly afraid and trembling’.

and to the noise of a trumpet, and to the sound of words which those who heard begged that not another word be spoken to them.
For there was an awesome trumpet blast and a voice with a message so terrible that the people begged God to stop speaking.
Unlike your ancestors, you didn’t come to Mount Sinai—all that volcanic blaze and earthshaking rumble—to hear God speak. The earsplitting words and soul-shaking message terrified them and they begged him to stop. When they heard the words—“If an animal touches the Mountain, it’s as good as dead”—they were afraid to move. Even Moses was terrified.

You have not come to the noise of a trumpet or to the sound of a voice like the one the people of Israel heard and begged not to hear another word.
and the blast of a trumpet and a voice uttering words such that those who heard begged to hear no more.
You haven’t come to a blast from God’s trumpet. You haven’t come to a voice speaking to you. When people heard that voice long ago, they begged it not to say anything more to them.

to a trumpet blast or to such a voice speaking words that those who heard it begged that no further word be spoken to them,
and the sound of a trumpet and the voice of words, so that those who heard it begged that the word should not be spoken to them anymore.
The sound of a horn was heard and God’s voice spoke. The people cried out to Moses to have God stop speaking to them.
For they heard an awesome trumpet blast and a voice so terrible that they begged God to stop speaking.
neither to the sound of a trumpet and the voice of words, which voice the people that heard it wished away so that the message would not be spoken to them.

and the sound of a trumpet, and a voice whose words made the hearers entreat that no further messages be spoken to them.
and the sound of a trumpet, and a voice whose words made the hearers entreat that no further messages be spoken to them.
and to the blast of a shofar and a voice whose words made those who heard it beg that not another word be spoken to them.
or to the blast of a trumpet and the sound of a voice—a voice and message so harsh that the people begged not to hear another word.

You have not come to a place where a loud trumpet or horn is blown, and a loud voice is talking. When the people heard the voice, they begged that God would not say anything more to them.
