For through the voice of the Lord shall the Assyrian be beaten down, who smote with a rod.
For through the voice of Jehovah shall the Assyrian be dismayed; with his rod will he smite him.
For at the voice of the Lord the Assyrians will be terrified, When He strikes [them] with the rod.
At the voice of the Lord the Assyrians will be stricken with dismay and terror, when He smites them with His rod.

Assyria will be shattered by the voice of the Lord. He will strike with a rod.
The Lord’s voice will terrify Assyria; with a rod he will smite it.
For Adonai’s voice will terrify Ashur, as with his scepter he strikes them down.
When the Assyrians hear the Lord's voice and see him striking with his iron rod, they will be terrified.

Assyria will be frightened by the Lord’s voice and the stick that will beat him.
When the Lord shouts, his command will destroy the Assyrian army. He will knock them down with his heavy stick.
The voice of the Lord will terrify Assyria. He will strike it with his rod.
The Assyrians will be terror-stricken at the voice of the Lord, when he strikes with his rod.
The Assyrians will be terror-stricken at the voice of the Lord, when he strikes with his rod.
Assyria will be ·afraid [terrorized; or shattered] when it hears the voice of the Lord, because he will strike Assyria with a rod.

The voice of the Lord shall punish the Assyrians, who had been his rod of punishment.
But you will sing, sing through an all-night holy feast! Your hearts will burst with song, make music like the sound of flutes on parade, En route to the mountain of God, on the way to the Rock of Israel. God will sound out in grandiose thunder, display his hammering arm, Furiously angry, showering sparks— cloudburst, storm, hail! Oh yes, at God’s thunder Assyria will cower under the clubbing. Every blow God lands on them with his club is in time to the music of drums and pipes, God in all-out, two-fisted battle, fighting against them. Topheth’s fierce fires are well prepared, ready for the Assyrian king. The Topheth furnace is deep and wide, well stoked with hot-burning wood. God’s breath, like a river of burning pitch, starts the fire.
For through the voice of the Lord the Assyrian shall be beaten down when He strikes with a rod.

The Assyrians will be filled with fear at the voice of the Lord, when He punishes them with His power.
At the Lord’s command, the Assyrians will be shattered. He will strike them down with his royal scepter.
The Assyrian will be terror-stricken at the voice of the Lord, when he strikes with his rod.
The Assyrian will be terror-stricken at the voice of the Lord, when he strikes with his rod.

For through the voice of Hashem shall the Assyrian be crushed, which struck with a shevet (rod).

And Assyria will cover its ears, terrified at the sound of God’s voice When He comes to strike them with His punishing rod.
For through Yahweh’s voice the Assyrian will be dismayed. He will strike him with his rod.
For why Assur smitten with a rod shall dread of the voice of the Lord; (For the Assyrians shall fear the voice of the Lord, and shall be struck with his rod;)
For from the voice of Jehovah broken down [is] Asshur, With a rod He smiteth.
