Thy tacklings are loosed; they could not well strengthen their mast, they could not spread the sail; then is the prey of a great spoil divided; the lame take the prey.

But your nation is a ship with its rigging loose, its mast shaky, and its sail not spread. Someday even you that are lame will take everything you want from your enemies.

because the Lord is our powerful leader there. That land is a place with streams and wide rivers, but there will be no enemy boats or powerful ships on those rivers. You men who work on such boats can stop your work with the ropes. You cannot make the mast strong enough. You will not be able to open your sails, because the Lord is our judge. He makes our laws. He is our king. He saves us. The Lord will give us our wealth. Even crippled people will get their share.
At this time, your ship is not ready to go anywhere. You have not tied the ropes. There is nowhere to hang the sails. But then, you will take many valuable things from your enemies. You will share them after the battle. Even people who cannot walk well will carry away what they want!
Your rigging hangs loose. The mast is not steady. The sail is not set. When they divide all the plunder, there will be so much that even the crippled will take part.

Your ropes hang loose, your mast isn’t secure, and your sail isn’t spread out. A large amount of loot will be distributed. Lame people will carry off your loot.
All the rigging on those ships is useless; the sails cannot be spread! We will seize all the wealth of enemy armies, and there will be so much that even the lame can get a share. The Lord himself will be our king; he will rule over us and protect us.

Ha! Your sails are in shreds, your mast wobbling, your hold leaking. The plunder is free for the taking, free for all— for weak and strong, insiders and outsiders.

Thy ropes be slacked, but those shall not avail; thy mast shall be so, that thou may not alarge a sign. Then the spoils of many preys shall be parted, crooked men shall ravish (the) raven. (Thy ropes be slackened, and so they cannot hold thy masts firm, and thou shalt not be able to spread the sails.
