A sword is upon the liars, and they shall dote! A sword is upon her mighty men, and they shall be dismayed!
A sword is upon the boasters, and they shall become fools; a sword is upon her mighty men, and they shall be dismayed.
“A sword against the oracle priests (the babbling liars), and they will become fools! A sword against her mighty warriors, and they will be shattered and destroyed!
A sword upon the babbling liars (the diviners), that they may become fools! A sword upon her mighty warriors, that they may be dismayed and destroyed!
A sword is upon the liars; and they shall dote: a sword is upon her mighty men; and they shall be dismayed.
A sword is against the diviners, and they will act foolishly. A sword is against her heroic warriors, and they will be terrified.
A sword against its diviners so that they become fools. A sword against its warriors so that they are terrified.
A sword hangs over the lying diviners; they will become fools. A sword hangs over her warriors; they will be disgraced.
This war will prove that your prophets are liars and fools. And it will frighten your warriors.

Sword, kill the priests of Babylon. They will be like fools. Sword, kill the soldiers of Babylon. They will be full of fear.
They will attack its false prophets, and people will see that the prophets are fools. They will attack the soldiers of Babylonia, and those soldiers will be very afraid.
A sword against her empty boasters! They will become fools. A sword against her strong warriors! They will be filled with terror.
A sword against the diviners, that they may become fools! A sword against her warriors, that they may be destroyed!

Let a sword ·kill [L be against] her ·false prophets [diviners], and they will become fools. Let a sword ·kill [L be against] her warriors, and they will be full of terror.
A sword is upon the soothsayers, and they shall dote: a sword is upon her strong men, and they shall be afraid.
A sword will kill the false prophets. They will become fools. A sword will kill their soldiers and defeat them.
Death to its lying prophets— what fools they are! Death to its soldiers— how terrified they are!

War to the death on her soldiers, cowards to a man! War to the death on her hired killers, gutless wonders! War to the death on her banks—looted! War to the death on her water supply—drained dry! A land of make-believe gods gone crazy—hobgoblins! The place will be haunted with jackals and scorpions, night-owls and vampire bats. No one will ever live there again. The land will reek with the stench of death. It will join Sodom and Gomorrah and their neighbors, the cities I did away with.” God’s Decree. “No one will live there again. No one will again draw breath in that land, ever. * * *

Destructive forces will come against her false prophets; they will be shown to be fools! Destructive forces will come against her soldiers; they will be filled with terror!
A sword is coming against their prophets. But they are not really prophets at all! So they will look foolish. A sword is coming against their soldiers! They will be filled with terror.
A sword against her false prophets! They will become fools. A sword against her warriors! They will be filled with terror.
