“Therefore thou shalt speak all these words unto them, but they will not hearken to thee; thou shalt also call unto them, but they will not answer thee.

Jeremiah, no matter what you do, the people won't listen.

So say all these things to them, but they will not listen to you. Call to them, but they will not answer you.

“You [C Jeremiah] will tell all these ·things [words] to them [C the people of Judah], but they will not listen to you. You will ·call [preach; proclaim] to them, but they will not answer you.

“Tell them all this, but don’t expect them to listen. Call out to them, but don’t expect an answer. Tell them, ‘You are the nation that wouldn’t obey God, that refused all discipline. Truth has disappeared. There’s not a trace of it left in your mouths.
Therefore you will speak all these words to them. But they will not listen to you. You will also call to them, but they will not answer you.
