As the cloud is consumed and vanisheth away, so he that goeth down to the grave shall come up no more.

A cloud breaks apart and moves on— like the one who descends to the grave and won’t rise,
Like a cloud dissolving and disappearing, so he who descends to Sh’ol won’t come back up.
I will disappear in the grave or vanish from sight like a passing cloud.
The cloud consumeth and vanisheth away; so he that goeth down to Sheol shall not come up.
As a cloud is consumed, and passeth away: so he that shall go down to hell shall not come up.
Just as clouds that come and go, people are put in the grave, never to rise again.
Clouds disappear and you never see them again. That is like people who die and go into their graves. They do not come back again.
As a cloud vanishes and is gone, so does the one who goes down to the grave. He does not come back up again.
As the cloud fades and vanishes, so he who goes down to Sheol does not come up;
As the cloud fades and vanishes, so he who goes down to Sheol does not come up;
As a cloud ·disappears [fades] and is gone, people go to ·the grave [L Sheol; C the grave or the underworld] and never return.
As the cloud vanisheth and goeth away, so he that goeth down to the grave, shall come up no more.
As a cloud fades away and disappears, so a person goes into the grave and doesn’t come back again.
Like a cloud that fades and is gone, we humans die and never return; we are forgotten by all who knew us.
As a cloud fades away and vanishes, so the one who goes down to Sheol will never rise again.
A cloud disappears and is gone. In the same way, a person who goes where the dead are does not return.
As a cloud fades away and vanishes, the one who descends to the afterlife doesn’t return.
As the cloud is consumed and vanishes away, so he that goes down to Sheol, who shall not come up again;
As the cloud is consumed and vanisheth away: so he that goeth down to the grave shall come up no more.

“God, don’t forget that I’m only a wisp of air! These eyes have had their last look at goodness. And your eyes have seen the last of me; even while you’re looking, there’ll be nothing left to look at. When a cloud evaporates, it’s gone for good; those who go to the grave never come back. They don’t return to visit their families; never again will friends drop in for coffee.

When a cloud disappears, it’s gone forever. And anyone who goes down to the grave never returns.
As a cloud vanishes and is gone, so one who goes down to the grave does not return.

When a cloud goes away, it is gone. And he who goes down to the place of the dead does not come back.

As a cloud vanishes and is gone, so one descending into Sheol does not come up;
As clouds thin and finally vanish, so it is when people enter the land of the dead. Never will they come back up.
As the cloud is consumed and vanishes away, so he who goes down to Sheol will come up no more.
As a cloud is wasted, and passeth soon away, so he that goeth down to hell, shall not go up (from) thence; (Like a cloud that fadeth, and soon passeth away, is he who goeth down to the Sheol, or the grave, and shall never come up from there;)
Consumed hath been a cloud, and it goeth, So he who is going down to Sheol cometh not up.
