Job 24:24

They are exalted for a little while, but are gone and brought low; they are taken out of the way as all others, and cut off as the tops of the ears of corn.
They are exalted; yet a little while, and they are gone; Yea, they are brought low, they are taken out of the way as all others, And are cut off as the tops of the ears of grain.
“They are exalted for a little while, and then they are gone; Moreover, they are brought low and like everything [they are] gathered up and taken out of the way; Even like the heads of grain they are cut off.
They are exalted for a little while, and then are gone and brought low; they are taken out of the way as all others are and are cut off as the tops of the ears of grain.
They are exalted for a little while, but are gone and brought low; they are taken out of the way as all other, and cut off as the tops of the ears of corn.
They are exalted for a moment, then gone; they are brought low and shrivel up like everything else. They wither like heads of grain.
They are exalted for a short time, but no longer. They are humbled then gathered in like everyone else; cut off like heads of grain.
They are exalted for a little while; and then they are gone, brought low, gathered in like all others, shriveled up like ears of grain.
Great for a while; gone forever! Sinners are mowed down like weeds, then they wither and die.
They are exalted for a little, and are no more; they are laid low; like all [other] are they gathered, and are cut off as the tops of the ears of corn.
They are lifted up for a little while and shall not stand, and shall be brought down as all things, and shall be taken away, and as the tops of the ears of corn they shall be broken.
They might be successful for a while, but then they will be gone. Like everyone else, they will be cut down like grain.’
Wicked people may have success for a short time, but suddenly they disappear! Like everyone else, they fall to the ground. They become like crops that people cut down at harvest time.”
They are high and mighty for a little while, but then they are gone. They are brought low like all the rest. They are gathered together, like ears of grain that have been cut off.
They are exalted a little while, and then are gone; they are brought low and gathered up like all others; they are cut off like the heads of grain.
They are exalted a little while, and then are gone; they are brought low and gathered up like all others; they are cut off like the ears of corn.
For a little while they are ·important [exalted], and then ·they die [L are no more]; they ·are laid low [or give in] and ·buried [L are gathered/drawn in] like everyone else; they ·are cut off [or wither] like the heads of grain.
They are exalted for a little, but they are gone, and are brought low as all others: they are destroyed, and cut off as the top of an ear of corn.
⌞Such people⌟ may be prosperous for a little while, but then they’re gone. They are brought down low and disappear like everything else. They wither like heads of grain.
For a while the wicked prosper, but then they wither like weeds, like stalks of grain that have been cut down.
They are exalted for a moment, then they are gone; they are brought low and shrivel up like everything else. They wither like heads of grain.
For a little while they are important, and then they are gone. They are made unimportant and gathered up like everyone else. They are cut off like the tops of stalks of grain.
They’re exalted momentarily, but then they are gone; they are humbled, just like all the others. They are cut down like heads of corn.
They were exalted for a little while, but are gone and brought low; they are taken out of the way as all others and cut off as the tops of the heads of grain.
They are exalted for a little while, but are gone and brought low; they are taken out of the way as all other, and cut off as the tops of the ears of corn.
They are exalted for a little while, but are gone and brought low; they are taken out of the way as all other, and cut off as the tops of the ears of corn.
They are exalted a little while, then they are gone; Moreover, they are brought low and like everything gathered up; Even like the heads of grain they are cut off.
They are exalted a little while, then they are gone. And they are brought low; they are cut off like all others, and like the heads of grain they wither away.
But though they are very great now, yet in a moment they shall be gone like all others, cut off like heads of grain.
“They are scraps of wood floating on the water— useless, cursed junk, good for nothing. As surely as snow melts under the hot, summer sun, sinners disappear in the grave. The womb has forgotten them, worms have relished them— nothing that is evil lasts. Unscrupulous, they prey on those less fortunate. However much they strut and flex their muscles, there’s nothing to them. They’re hollow. They may have an illusion of security, but God has his eye on them. They may get their brief successes, but then it’s over, nothing to show for it. Like yesterday’s newspaper, they’re used to wrap up the garbage. You’re free to try to prove me a liar, but you won’t be able to do it.”
They are exalted for a little while but are gone and brought low; they are taken out of the way like all others and cut off as the tops of the grain.
Such people may be prosperous for a little while, but then they’re gone. They are brought down low and disappear like everything else. They wither like heads of grain.
They are exalted for a while, and then are no more; laid low, like everyone else they are gathered up; like ears of grain they shrivel.
They are exalted a little while, then they are gone; Moreover, they are brought low, and like everything they are gathered up; Like the heads of grain they wither.
“They are exalted a little while, then they are gone; Moreover, they are brought low and like everything gathered up; Even like the heads of grain they are cut off.
They are exalted for a while, and then they are gone; they wither and fade like a flower, shriveling up like ears of grain.
For a little while they are important, and then they die; they are laid low and buried like everyone else; they are cut off like the heads of grain.
They are exalted for a little while, and then they are gone, they are brought low like all others, and gathered in, and like a head of grain they are cut off.’
For a little while they are honored. Then they are gone. They are brought low. And they die like everyone else. They are cut off like heads of grain.
For a little while they are exalted, and then they are gone; they are brought low and gathered up like all others; they are cut off like heads of grain.
For a little while they are exalted, and then they are gone; they are brought low and gathered up like all others; they are cut off like ears of corn.
They are exalted for a little while, Then they are gone. They are brought low; They are taken out of the way like all others; They dry out like the heads of grain.
They are given honor for a little while, and then they are gone. They are brought low and gathered up as all others are. They are cut off like the heads of grain.
And though they are great now, in a moment they will be gone like all others, cut off like heads of grain.
They are exalted a little while, and then are gone; they wither and fade like the mallow; they are cut off like the heads of grain.
They are exalted a little while, and then are gone; they wither and fade like the mallow; they are cut off like the heads of grain.
They are exalted a little while, and then are gone; they wither and fade like the mallow; they are cut off like the heads of grain.
They are exalted a little while and then are gone; they wither and fade like the mallow; they are cut off like the heads of grain.
They are exalted me’at (for a little while), then they are no more and are withered and snatched away like all others, and cut off like the tops of the ears of grain.
They are exalted a little while, and then are gone; they wither and fade like the mallow; they are cut off like the heads of grain.
They are exalted a little while, and then are gone; they wither and fade like the mallow; they are cut off like the heads of grain.
They are exalted for a little while and then they are gone; they are brought low and gathered up like all others, they are like heads of grain they wither.
They may make their mark—to be sure—in a brief moment of glory, but then just as quickly the wicked are gone, like the rest of humanity, like heads of grain cut off and dried up.
They are exalted; yet a little while, and they are gone. Yes, they are brought low, they are taken out of the way as all others, and are cut off as the tops of the ears of grain.
They be raised up at a little while, and they shall not stand; and they shall be made low as all vile things, and they shall be taken away; and as the highnesses of ears of corn they shall be all-broken. (They shall be raised up for a little while, but they shall not stand; then they shall be made low like all vile things, and they shall be taken away; and they shall be all-broken like the tops of the ears of corn.)
High they were [for] a little, and they are not, And they have been brought low. As all [others] they are shut up, And as the head of an ear of corn cut off.
