But now this shall be the thing which we will do to Gibeah: We will go up by lot against it;

Now this is what we will do to Gibeah: we will attack it. By lot
This is what we’re now going to do to Gibeah: We’ll march up against it as the lot determines.
What we will do now to Giv‘ah is this: we’ll draw lots,
We'll send one tenth of the men from each tribe to get food for the army. And we'll ask God who should attack Gibeah, because those men deserve to be punished for committing such a horrible crime in Israel.”
But now this is the thing which we will do to Gibeah: [we go] by lot against it;
But this we will do in common against Gabaa:
Now this is what we will do to the city of Gibeah. We will throw lots to let God show us who will lead the attack.
Instead, this is what we will do to the people of Gibeah. We will use lots to decide who should attack the city.
Now this is what we will do to Gibeah: We will determine who goes against it by choosing lots.
But now this is what we will do to Gibeah: we will go up against it by lot,
But now this is what we will do to Gibeah: we will go up against it by lot,
Now this is what we will do to Gibeah. We will ·throw lots [L go against it by lot].
But now this is that thing which we will do to Gibeah: we will go up by lot against it.
This is what we’ll do to Gibeah. We’ll decide by lot who should attack it.
This is what we will do: we will draw lots and choose some men to attack Gibeah.
Now this is what we will do to Gibeah: we will go against it by lot.
Now this is what we will do to Gibeah. We will throw lots so that God can show us what to do.
This is what we’ll do to Gibeah: we’re going to assemble an army by lottery.
until we do this upon Gibeah that we cast lots against it;
But now this shall be the thing which we will do to Gibeah; we will go up by lot against it;
But now this shall be the thing which we will do to Gibeah; we will go up by lot against it;
But now this is the thing which we will do to Gibeah; we will go up against it by lot.
So then, this is what we will do to Gibeah: we will go up against her by lot.
And as one man they replied, “Not one of us will return home until we have punished the village of Gibeah. A tenth of the army will be selected by lot as a supply line to bring us food, and the rest of us will destroy Gibeah for this horrible deed.”
All the people were at once and as one person on their feet. “None of us will go home; not a single one of us will go to his own house. Here’s our plan for dealing with Gibeah: We’ll march against it by drawing lots. We’ll take ten of every hundred men from all the tribes of Israel (a hundred of every thousand, and a thousand of every ten thousand) to carry food for the army. When the troops arrive at Gibeah they will settle accounts for this outrageous and vile evil that was done in Israel.” So all the men in Israel were gathered against the city, totally united.
Now this is what we will do to Gibeah. We will go against it by lot.
This is what we’ll do to Gibeah. We’ll decide by lot who should attack it.
Now as for Gibeah, this is what we will do: We will go up against it by lot,
But now this is the thing which we will do to Gibeah; we will go up against it by lot.
But now this is the thing which we will do to Gibeah; we will go up against it by lot.
This is what we are going to do to Gibeah. We will choose who will attack it by lot.
Now this is what we will do to Gibeah. We will throw lots.
Now this is what we will do to Gibeah: We will attack the city as the lot dictates.
Here is what we’ll do to Gibeah. We’ll cast lots to tell us how to attack the city.
But now this is what we’ll do to Gibeah: We’ll go up against it in the order decided by casting lots.
But now this is what we’ll do to Gibeah: we’ll go up against it in the order decided by casting lots.
but now this is the thing which we will do to Gibeah: We will go up against it by lot.

Instead, this is what we will do to Gibeah; we will draw lots to decide who will attack it.

but we shall do this thing in common against Gibeah.
