Leviticus 21:18
Print
For whatsoever man he be that hath a blemish, he shall not approach: a blind man, or a lame, or he that hath a flat nose, or any thing superfluous,
For whatsoever man he be that hath a blemish, he shall not approach: a blind man, or a lame, or he that hath a flat nose, or anything superfluous,
For no man who has a defect shall approach [God’s altar as a priest]: no man who is blind or lame, or who has a disfigured face, or any deformed limb,
For no man who has a blemish shall approach [God’s altar to serve as priest], a man blind or lame, or he who has a disfigured face or a limb too long,
For whatsoever man he be that hath a blemish, he shall not approach: a blind man, or a lame, or he that hath a flat nose, or any thing superfluous,
No man who has any defect is to come near: no man who is blind, lame, facially disfigured, or deformed;
No one who has an imperfection will be allowed to make an offering: this includes anyone who is blind, crippled, disfigured, or deformed;
No one with a defect may approach — no one blind, lame, with a mutilated face or a limb too long,
to say to Aaron: No descendant of yours can ever serve as my priest if he is blind or lame, if his face is disfigured, if one leg is shorter than the other,
for whatever man hath a defect, he shall not approach: a blind man, or a lame, or he that hath a flat nose, or one limb longer than the other,
Neither shall he approach to minister to him: If he be blind, if he be lame, if he have a little, or a great, or a crooked nose,
Any man who has something wrong with him must not serve as priest and bring sacrifices to me. These men cannot serve as priests: blind men, crippled men, men with bad scars on their faces, men with arms or legs that are too long,
A priest who cannot see must not sacrifice the food to God. A priest who cannot walk must not sacrifice food to God. A priest with a body that is the wrong shape must not offer food to God.
Indeed, any man who has a defect shall not approach—a man who is blind or lame, or who has a limb that is too short or too long,
For no one who has a blemish shall draw near, a man blind or lame, or one who has a mutilated face or a limb too long,
For no one who has a blemish shall draw near, a man blind or lame, or one who has a mutilated face or a limb too long,
Anyone who has ·something wrong with him [a blemish] must not come near: blind men, crippled men, men with damaged faces, deformed men,
For whosoever hath any blemish, shall not come near: as a man blind or lame, or that hath a flat nose, or that hath any misshapen member,
Indeed, no one who has a physical defect may ever come near ⌞the altar⌟. That means anyone who is blind or lame, who has a disfigured face, a deformity,
No man with any physical defects may make the offering: no one who is blind, lame, disfigured, or deformed;
No man who has any defect is to come near: no man who is blind, lame, facially disfigured, or deformed;
Anyone who has something wrong with him must not serve as priest. And he must not bring sacrifices to me. These people cannot serve as priests: blind men, crippled men, men with damaged faces, deformed men,
Indeed, any person who has a defect is not to approach the Tent of Meeting— the blind, the lame, one who is mutilated in the face or who has a very long limb,
For no man in whom there is a blemish, shall approach: a blind man or a lame or he that lacks any thing or has any thing superfluous
For whatsoever man he be that hath a blemish, he shall not approach: a blind man, or a lame, or he that hath a flat nose, or any thing superfluous,
For whatsoever man he be that hath a blemish, he shall not approach: a blind man, or a lame, or he that hath a flat nose, or any thing superfluous,
For no one who has a defect shall come near: a blind man or a lame man or he who has a disfigured face or any deformed limb,
Indeed, any man in whom is a physical defect shall not come near: a blind man or lame or disfigured or deformed,
For instance, if a man is blind or lame, or has a broken nose or any extra fingers or toes,
God spoke to Moses: “Tell Aaron, None of your descendants, in any generation to come, who has a defect of any kind may present as an offering the food of his God. That means anyone who is blind or lame, disfigured or deformed, crippled in foot or hand, hunchbacked or dwarfed, who has anything wrong with his eyes, who has running sores or damaged testicles. No descendant of Aaron the priest who has any defect is to offer gifts to God; he has a defect and so must not offer the food of his God. He may eat the food of his God, both the most holy and the holy, but because of his defect he must not go near the curtain or approach the Altar. It would desecrate my Sanctuary. I am God who makes them holy.”
For whoever has a blemish, he shall not approach, whether a blind or lame man, or one who has a physical flaw on his face or a limb that is too long,
Indeed, no one who has a physical defect may ever come near the altar. That means anyone who is blind or lame, who has a disfigured face, a deformity,
Anyone who has any of the following blemishes may not come forward: he who is blind, or lame, or who has a split lip, or a limb too long,
For no one who has an impairment shall approach: a man who is blind, or one who limps, or one who has a slit nose, or one with any conspicuous feature,
For no one who has a defect shall approach: a blind man, or a lame man, or he who has a disfigured face, or any deformed limb,
No one who has a defect shall approach, whether he be blind or lame, disfigured or deformed,
Anyone who has something wrong with him must not come near: blind men, crippled men, men with damaged faces, deformed men,
Certainly no man who has a physical flaw is to approach: a blind man, or one who is lame, or one with a slit nose, or who has a limb too long,
No man who has any flaws can come near. No man who is blind or disabled can come. No man whose body is scarred or twisted can come.
No man who has any defect may come near: no man who is blind or lame, disfigured or deformed;
No man who has any defect may come near: no man who is blind or lame, disfigured or deformed;
For any man who has a defect shall not approach: a man blind or lame, who has a marred face or any limb too long,
For no one whose body is not perfect should come near, no blind man, or man who cannot walk, or one with a marked face, or a bad arm or leg,
No one who has a defect qualifies, whether he is blind, lame, disfigured, deformed,
For no one who has a blemish shall draw near, one who is blind or lame, or one who has a mutilated face or a limb too long,
For no one who has a blemish shall draw near, one who is blind or lame, or one who has a mutilated face or a limb too long,
For no one who has a blemish shall draw near, one who is blind or lame, or one who has a mutilated face or a limb too long,
Indeed, no one who has a blemish shall draw near, one who is blind or lame, or one who is mutilated or deformed,
For whatsoever ish he be that hath a mum, he shall not approach; an ish ivver, or a pise’ach (lame), or he who is disfigured or malformed,
For no one who has a blemish shall draw near, a man blind or lame, or one who has a mutilated face or a limb too long,
For no one who has a blemish shall draw near, a man blind or lame, or one who has a mutilated face or a limb too long,
Any man who has a defect is not to draw near: no one blind or lame or disfigured or deformed,
Eternal One: Go, talk with Aaron, and tell him that throughout future generations those who are physically marred are not allowed to approach the sanctuary and offer food to Me. This includes those who are blind, lame, disfigured, or deformed.
For whatever man he is that has a defect, he shall not draw near: a blind man, or a lame, or he who has a flat nose, or any deformity,
neither shall nigh to his service; (nor,) if he is blind; if he is crooked; if he is either of little, either of great, or wrong nose; (nor shall he come to do his service; nor, as well, if he is blind, or lame; or too small, or too big;)
for no man in whom [is] blemish doth draw near -- a man blind, or lame or dwarfed, or enlarged,
