There were some also who said, “We have mortgaged our lands, vineyards, and houses, that we might buy corn because of the dearth.”
Some also there were that said, We are mortgaging our fields, and our vineyards, and our houses: let us get grain, because of the dearth.
There were others who were saying, “We are mortgaging our fields, our vineyards, and our houses to buy grain because of the famine.”
Also some said, We are mortgaging our lands, vineyards, and houses to buy grain because of the scarcity.
Some also there were that said, We have mortgaged our lands, vineyards, and houses, that we might buy corn, because of the dearth.
Others were saying, “We are mortgaging our fields, vineyards, and homes to get grain during the famine.”
Others said, “We have to mortgage our fields, our vineyards, and our houses in order to get grain during the famine.”
There were also some who said, “We are mortgaging our fields, vineyards and homes in order to buy grain, because of the famine.”
Others said, “During the famine we even had to mortgage our fields, vineyards, and homes to them in order to buy grain.”
And there were that said, We have had to pledge our fields, and our vineyards, and our houses, that we might procure corn in the dearth.
And there were some that said: Let us mortgage our lands, and our vineyards, and our houses, and let us take corn because of the famine.
Other people were saying, “This is a time of famine. We have to use our fields, vineyards, and homes to pay for grain.”
Other people said, ‘People have to lend us money to buy food. We have to give them our fields, our vineyards and our homes until we can pay them back.’
There were others who were saying, “We are mortgaging our fields, vineyards, and houses so that we can acquire grain during the famine.”
There were also those who said, “We are mortgaging our fields, our vineyards, and our houses to get grain because of the famine.”
There were also those who said, “We are mortgaging our fields, our vineyards, and our houses to get grain because of the famine.”
Others were saying, “We are ·borrowing money [mortgaging; C from their fellow Jews, which increased their frustration] against our fields, vineyards, and homes to get grain ·because there is not much food [during the famine].”
And there were that said, We must gage our lands, and our vineyards, and our houses, and take up corn for the famine.
Others said, “We’ve had to mortgage our fields, our vineyards, and our homes in order to get some grain because of this famine.”
Others said, “We have had to mortgage our fields and vineyards and houses to get enough grain to keep us from starving.”
Others were saying, “We are mortgaging our fields, vineyards, and homes to get grain during the famine.”
Others were saying, “We are borrowing money to get grain. There is not much food. We might not be able to pay back the money we’ve borrowed. Then we will have to pay with our fields, vineyards and homes.”
Others were saying, “We’re having to mortgage our fields, our vineyards, and our homes so we can buy grain during this famine.”
There were also some that said, We have mortgaged our lands, vineyards, and houses, that we might buy grain because of the famine.
Some also there were that said, We have mortgaged our lands, vineyards, and houses, that we might buy corn, because of the dearth.
Some also there were that said, We have mortgaged our lands, vineyards, and houses, that we might buy corn, because of the dearth.
There were others who were saying, “We are mortgaging our fields, our vineyards, and our houses, that we might get grain because of the famine.”
There were also those saying, “We have pledged our fields and our vineyards and our houses so that we can get grain in the famine.”
What was happening was that families who ran out of money for food had to sell their children or mortgage their fields, vineyards, and homes to these rich men; and some couldn’t even do that, for they already had borrowed to the limit to pay their taxes.
Others said, “We’re having to mortgage our fields and vineyards and homes to get enough grain to keep from starving.”
Others were saying, “We have mortgaged our fields, vineyards, and houses so that we might acquire grain because of hunger.”
Others said, “We’ve had to mortgage our fields, our vineyards, and our homes in order to get some grain because of this famine.”
Others said: “We are forced to pawn our fields, our vineyards, and our houses, that we may have grain during the famine.”
And there were others who said, “We are mortgaging our fields, our vineyards, and our houses so that we might get grain because of the famine.”
There were others who said, “We are mortgaging our fields, our vineyards and our houses that we might get grain because of the famine.”
Others asserted that they were forced to mortgage their fields, their vineyards, and their houses in order to survive.
Others were saying, “We are borrowing money against our fields, vineyards, and homes to get grain because there is not much food.”
There were others who said, “We are putting up our fields, our vineyards, and our houses as collateral in order to obtain grain during the famine.”
Others were saying, “We’re being forced to sell our fields, vineyards and homes. We have to do it to buy grain. There isn’t enough food for everyone.”
Others were saying, “We are mortgaging our fields, our vineyards and our homes to get grain during the famine.”
Others were saying, ‘We are mortgaging our fields, our vineyards and our homes to get grain during the famine.’
There were also some who said, “We have mortgaged our lands and vineyards and houses, that we might buy grain because of the famine.”
And some said, “We are giving up our fields, our grape-vines and our houses, that we might get grain because of no food.”
Others said, “We have mortgaged our fields, vineyards, and homes to get food during the famine.”
There were also those who said, ‘We are having to pledge our fields, our vineyards, and our houses in order to get grain during the famine.’
There were also those who said, ‘We are having to pledge our fields, our vineyards, and our houses in order to get grain during the famine.’
There were also those who said, “We are having to pledge our fields, our vineyards, and our houses in order to get grain during the famine.”

Some also there were that said, We have mortgaged our sadot (fields), kramim (vineyards), and batim (houses), that we might buy dagan, because of the ra’av (famine).

Jewish Landowners: As a result of the famine, we are pledging livelihood, even our fields, our vineyards, and our homes as a mortgage.
There were also some who said, “We are mortgaging our fields, our vineyards, and our houses. Let us get grain, because of the famine.”
Also there were (others) that said, Set we forth to sale our fields, and vineries, and our houses, and take we wheat to eat in this hunger. (And there were others who said, We have sold our fields, and our vineyards, and our houses, so we could get corn, or grain, to eat during this famine.)
And there are who are saying, `Our fields, and our vineyards, and our houses, we are pledging, and we receive corn for the famine.'
