The descendants of Judah: according to their family records by their clans and their ancestral families, counting the names of those twenty years old or more, everyone who could serve in the army,
There were the descendants of Judah, registered by their clans and their households. The men 20 years old and above eligible for military service were recorded by name.
Descendants of Y’hudah 74,600
The number of men from each tribe who were at least 20 years old and strong enough to fight in Israel's army was as follows: 46,500 from Reuben, the oldest son of Jacob, 59,300 from Simeon, 45,650 from Gad, 74,600 from Judah, 54,400 from Issachar, 57,400 from Zebulun, 40,500 from Ephraim, 32,200 from Manasseh, 35,400 from Benjamin, 62,700 from Dan, 41,500 from Asher, 53,400 from Naphtali. The total number of men registered by Moses, Aaron, and the twelve leaders was 603,550.

Of the sons of Juda, by their generations and families and houses of their kindreds, by the names of every one from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war,
The tribe of Judah was counted. The names of all the men who were 20 years old or older and able to serve in the army were listed. They were listed with their families and family groups.
They recorded the names of all the men who were 20 years old or older. Those men could fight in the army. They recorded the names of the men in each clan and family. Reuben was the firstborn son of Israel, so they recorded his tribe first. These were the numbers of the men from each tribe: Reuben: 46,500 men. Simeon: 59,300 men. Gad: 45,650 men. Judah: 74,600 men. Issachar: 54,400 men. Zebulun: 57,400 men. Ephraim (Joseph's son): 40,500 men. Manasseh (Joseph's son): 32,200 men. Benjamin: 35,400 men. Dan: 62,700 men. Asher: 41,500 men. Naphtali: 53,400 men.
The male descendants of Judah were registered from their family records, according to their clans, according to their fathers’ houses, listing the names of those twenty years old and up, all who were of age to serve in the army.

The roster of families and households for the descendants of Judah listed the men by name who were at least 20 years old and eligible for military duty.
The men twenty years old or older who were fit for military service were registered by name according to clan and family, beginning with the tribe of Reuben, Jacob's oldest son.
