In the Lord I put my trust; how say ye to my soul, “Flee as a bird to your mountain,
For the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David. In Jehovah do I take refuge: How say ye to my soul, Flee as a bird to your mountain;
To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David. In the Lord I take refuge [and put my trust]; How can you say to me, “Flee like a bird to your mountain;
In the Lord I take refuge [and put my trust]; how can you say to me, Flee like a bird to your mountain?
To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David. In the Lord put I my trust: how say ye to my soul, Flee as a bird to your mountain?
For the choir director. Of David. I have taken refuge in the Lord. How can you say to me, “Escape to the mountains like a bird!
I have taken refuge in the Lord. So how can you say to me, “Flee to the hills like a bird
For the leader. By David: In Adonai I find refuge. So how can you say to me, “Flee like a bird to the mountains!
(A psalm by David for the music leader.) The Lord is my fortress! Don't say to me, “Escape like a bird to the mountains!”
To the chief Musician. [A Psalm] of David. In Jehovah have I put my trust: how say ye to my soul, Flee [as] a bird to your mountain?
Unto the end; for the octave, a psalm for David.
To the director: A song of David. I trust in the Lord, so why did you tell me to run and hide? Why did you say, “Fly like a bird to your mountain?”
This is a song that David wrote for the music leader. I have run to the Lord to keep me safe. So do not say this to me: ‘Fly away like a bird to the hills!
For the choir director. By David. In the Lord I take refuge. How can you say to my soul: “Flee to your mountain like a bird.
To the choirmaster. Of David. In the Lord I take refuge; how can you say to my soul, “Flee like a bird to your mountain,
To the choirmaster. Of David. In the Lord I take refuge; how can you say to my soul, “Flee like a bird to your mountain,
For the director of music. Of David. I ·trust in the Lord for protection [find refuge in the Lord]. So why do you say to me, “·Fly [L Flee] like a bird to your mountain.
1 This Psalm containeth two parts.  In the first David showeth how hard assaults of temptations he sustained, and in how great anguish of mind he was, when Saul did persecute him. 4 Then next he rejoiceth that God sent him succor in his necessity, declaring his justice as well in governing the good, and the wicked men, as the whole world. To him that excelleth. A Psalm of David. In the Lord put I my trust; how say ye then to my soul, Flee to your mountain as a bird?
For the choir director; by David. I have taken refuge in the Lord. How can you say to me: “Flee to your mountain like a bird?
I trust in the Lord for safety. How foolish of you to say to me, “Fly away like a bird to the mountains,
For the choir director. Davidic. I have taken refuge in the Lord. How can you say to me, “Escape to the mountain like a bird!
For the director of music. Of David. I trust in the Lord for protection. So why do you say to me, “Fly like a bird to your mountain.
To the Director: A Davidic Song. I take refuge in the Lord. So how can you say to me, “Flee like a bird to the mountains.”?
To the Overcomer, A Psalm of David. ¶ I put my trust in the LORD: how say ye to my soul, Flee as a bird to your mountain?
In the Lord put I my trust: how say ye to my soul, Flee as a bird to your mountain?
To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David. In the Lord put I my trust: how say ye to my soul, Flee as a bird to your mountain?
For the choir director. Of David. In Yahweh I take refuge; How can you say to my soul, “Flee as a bird to your mountain;
For the music director. Of David. In Yahweh I have taken refuge; how can you say to my soul, “Flee to your mountain like a bird”?
How dare you tell me, “Flee to the mountains for safety,” when I am trusting in the Lord?
I’ve already run for dear life straight to the arms of God. So why would I run away now when you say, “Run to the mountains; the evil bows are bent, the wicked arrows Aimed to shoot under cover of darkness at every heart open to God. The bottom’s dropped out of the country; good people don’t have a chance”?
For the Music Director. A Psalm of David. In the Lord I seek refuge; how do you say to my soul, “Flee as a bird to your mountain,
For the choir director; by David. I have taken refuge in Yahweh. How can you say to me: “Flee to your mountain like a bird?
For the leader. Of David. In the Lord I take refuge; how can you say to me, “Flee like a bird to the mountains!

For the director of music. A psalm of David. I run to the Lord for safety. So how can you say to me, “Fly away like a bird to your mountain.
In the Lord I take refuge. How then can you say to me: “Flee like a bird to your mountain.
For the director of music. Of David. In the Lord I take refuge. How then can you say to me: ‘Flee like a bird to your mountain.

In the Lord I am safe. How can you say to me, “Fly away as a bird to your mountain?

For the worship leader. A song of David. I am already in the soft embrace of the Eternal, so why do you beckon me to leave, saying, “Fly like a bird to the mountains.
For the Chief Musician. By David. In Yahweh, I take refuge. How can you say to my soul, “Flee as a bird to your mountain”?
To the victory, [the psalm] of David. I trust in the Lord; how say ye to my soul, Pass thou over into the hill, as a sparrow doeth? (To victory, the song of David. I trust in the Lord; how say ye to me, Fly thou over to the mountains, like a sparrow doeth?)
