Psalm 35:8
Let destruction come upon him unawares; and let the net which he hath hidden catch himself; into that very destruction let him fall.

Let destruction come upon my enemy by surprise; Let the net he hid for me catch him; Into that very destruction let him fall.

Let destruction come upon him at unawares; and let his net that he hath hid catch himself: into that very destruction let him fall.
Let ruin come on him unexpectedly, and let the net that he hid ensnare him; let him fall into it—to his ruin.
Let disaster come to them when they don’t suspect it. Let the net they hid catch them instead! Let them fall into it—to their disaster!
May destruction come over him unawares. May the net he concealed catch himself; may he fall into it and be destroyed.
Surprise them with disaster! Trap them in their own nets and let them fall and rot in the pits they have dug.

O how hast thou multiplied thy mercy, O God! But the children of men shall put their trust under the covert of thy wings.
So let them fall into their own traps. Let them stumble into their own nets. Let some unknown danger catch them.
Surprise my enemies and destroy them! Let their own traps catch them! Let them fall to their own death!
May devastation overtake him before he knows it. May the net which he hid catch him. May he fall into it to his own destruction.

So let ruin strike them ·suddenly [or without their awareness]. Let them be caught in their own nets; let them fall into the pit and ·die [be ruined].

Let destruction surprise them. Let the net that they hid catch them. Let them fall into their own pit and be destroyed.
But destruction will catch them before they know it; they will be caught in their own trap and fall to their destruction!

Let them be overtaken by sudden ruin, caught in their own net and destroyed.
When those thugs try to knife me in the back, make them look foolish. Frustrate all those who are plotting my downfall. Make them like cinders in a high wind, with God’s angel working the bellows. Make their road lightless and mud-slick, with God’s angel on their tails. Out of sheer cussedness they set a trap to catch me; for no good reason they dug a ditch to stop me. Surprise them with your ambush— catch them in the very trap they set, the disaster they planned for me.

The snare which he knoweth not come to him, and the taking which he hid take him; and fall he into the snare in that thing. (But let the snare catch him unawares, or by surprise, yea, let the trap which he himself hid, catch him; and let him fall to his own destruction in that thing.)
Meet him doth desolation -- he knoweth not, And his net that he hid catcheth him, For desolation he falleth into it.
