We have heard with our ears, O God, our fathers have told us what work Thou didst in their days, in the times of old:
For the Chief Musician. A Psalm of the sons of Korah. Maschil. We have heard with our ears, O God, Our fathers have told us, What work thou didst in their days, In the days of old.
To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of the sons of Korah. A skillful song, or a didactic or reflective poem. We have heard with our ears, O God, Our fathers have told us The work You did in their days, In the days of old.
We have heard with our ears, O God; our fathers have told us [what] work You did in their days, in the days of old.
To the chief Musician for the sons of Korah, Maschil. We have heard with our ears, O God, our fathers have told us, what work thou didst in their days, in the times of old.
For the choir director. A Maskil of the sons of Korah. God, we have heard with our ears— our ancestors have told us— the work you accomplished in their days, in days long ago:
We have heard it, God, with our own ears; our ancestors told us about it: about the deeds you did in their days, in days long past.
For the leader. By the descendants of Korach. A maskil:
(A special psalm by the clan of Korah and for the music leader.) Our God, our ancestors told us what wonders you worked and we listened carefully.
To the chief Musician. Of the sons of Korah. An instruction. O God, with our ears have we heard, our fathers have told us, the work thou wroughtest in their days, in the days of old:
Unto the end, for them that shall be changed, for the sons of Core, for understanding. A canticle for the Beloved.
To the director: A maskil from the Korah family. God, we have heard about you. Our fathers told us what you did in their lifetime. They told us what you did long ago.
This is a special song that the sons of Korah wrote for the music leader. God, we have heard it for ourselves. Our ancestors told us what you did for them a long time ago.
God, our ears have heard. Our fathers have told us the work you performed in their days, in days long ago.
To the choirmaster. A Maskil of the Sons of Korah. O God, we have heard with our ears, our fathers have told us, what deeds you performed in their days, in the days of old:

God, we have heard ·about you [L with our ears; 78:3]. Our ·ancestors [fathers] ·told [recited to] us what you did in their days, in days long ago.

For the music director. Of the sons of Korah. A maskil. O God, we have heard with our ears; our ancestors have told us of work you worked in their days, in days of old.
O God, we have heard of the glorious miracles you did in the days of long ago. Our forefathers have told us how you drove the heathen nations from this land and gave it all to us, spreading Israel from one end of the country to the other.
We’ve been hearing about this, God, all our lives. Our fathers told us the stories their fathers told them, How single-handedly you weeded out the godless from the fields and planted us, How you sent those people packing but gave us a fresh start. We didn’t fight for this land; we didn’t work for it—it was a gift! You gave it, smiling as you gave it, delighting as you gave it.
For the Music Director. A Contemplative Maskil of the sons of Korah. We have heard with our ears, O God, our fathers have told us what work You did in their days, in the days of old:
For the choir director; a maskil by Korah’s descendants. O Elohim, we have heard it with our own ears. Our ancestors have told us about the miracle you performed in their day, in days long ago.
For the leader. A maskil of the Korahites.

To victory, learning to the sons of Korah. God, we heard with our ears; our fathers told to us. The work, which thou wroughtest in the days of them; and in the old days. (To victory, for the sons of Korah, for their teaching. God, we heard with our ears, for our forefathers told us, of the work which thou hast wrought in their days; yea, in the old days.)
To the Overseer. -- By sons of Korah. An Instruction. O God, with our ears we have heard, Our fathers have recounted to us, The work Thou didst work in their days, In the days of old.
