Beautiful in situation, the joy of the whole earth is Mount Zion; on the sides of the north, the city of the great King.

Fair and beautiful in elevation, the joy of all the earth, Is Mount Zion [the City of David] in the far north, The city of the great King.
Fair and beautiful in elevation, is the joy of all the earth—Mount Zion [the City of David], to the northern side [Mount Moriah and the temple], the [whole] city of the Great King!

Mount Zion, lying Northward, is fair in situation: it is the joy of the whole earth, and the City of the great king.
Its beautiful peak is the joy of the whole earth. Mount Zion is on the northern ridge. It is the city of the great king.
Zion, the mountain of God, is high and beautiful; the city of the great king brings joy to all the world.

God majestic, praise abounds in our God-city! His sacred mountain, breathtaking in its heights—earth’s joy. Zion Mountain looms in the North, city of the world-King. God in his citadel peaks undefeatable.
