1 Corinthians 10:17
Print
For we, being many, are one bread and one body, for we are all partakers of that one Bread.
seeing that we, who are many, are one bread, one body: for we all partake of the one bread.
Since there is one bread, we [believers] who are many are [united into] one body; for we all partake of the one bread [which represents the body of Christ].
For we [no matter how] numerous we are, are one body, because we all partake of the one Bread [the One Whom the communion bread represents].
For we being many are one bread, and one body: for we are all partakers of that one bread.
Because there is one bread, we who are many are one body, since all of us share the one bread.
Since there is one loaf of bread, we who are many are one body, because we all share the one loaf of bread.
Because there is one loaf of bread, we who are many constitute one body, since we all partake of the one loaf of bread.
By sharing in the same loaf of bread, we become one body, even though there are many of us.
Because we, [being] many, are one loaf, one body; for we all partake of that one loaf.
Because there is one bread, we the many are one body, for we all partake from the one bread.
For we, being many, are one bread, one body, all that partake of one bread.
There is one loaf of bread, so we who are many are one body, because we all share in that one loaf.
We are many people, but all of us eat part of the same loaf of bread. That shows that we are one group of people. We belong together because Christ died on our behalf.
Because there is one bread, we, who are many, are one body, for we all partake of the one bread.
Because there is one bread, we who are many are one body, for we all partake of the one bread.
Because there is one bread, we who are many are one body, for we all partake of the one bread.
Because there is one loaf of bread, we who are many are one body, because we all share that one loaf.
For we that are many, are one bread and one body, because we all are partakers of one bread.
Because there is one loaf, we are one body, although we are many individuals. All of us share one loaf.
Because there is the one loaf of bread, all of us, though many, are one body, for we all share the same loaf.
Because there is one bread, we who are many are one body, for all of us share that one bread.
There is one loaf of bread. And we are many people. But we all share from that one loaf. So we are really one body.
Because there is one loaf, we who are many are one body, because all of us eat from the same loaf.
The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not a very sharing in the blood of Christ? When we break the bread do we not actually share in the body of Christ? The very fact that we all share one bread makes us all one body. Look at the Jews of our own day. Isn’t there a fellowship between all those who eat the altar sacrifices?
For one loaf of bread means that many are one body, for we are all partakers of that one loaf.
For we being many are one bread, and one body: for we are all partakers of that one bread.
For we being many are one bread, and one body: for we are all partakers of that one bread.
Since there is one bread, we who are many are one body, for we all partake of the one bread.
Because there is one bread, we who are many are one body, for we all share from the one bread.
No matter how many of us there are, we all eat from the same loaf, showing that we are all parts of the one body of Christ.
I assume I’m addressing believers now who are mature. Draw your own conclusions: When we drink the cup of blessing, aren’t we taking into ourselves the blood, the very life, of Christ? And isn’t it the same with the loaf of bread we break and eat? Don’t we take into ourselves the body, the very life, of Christ? Because there is one loaf, our many-ness becomes one-ness—Christ doesn’t become fragmented in us. Rather, we become unified in him. We don’t reduce Christ to what we are; he raises us to what he is. That’s basically what happened even in old Israel—those who ate the sacrifices offered on God’s altar entered into God’s action at the altar.
For we, being many, are one bread and one body, for we are all partakers of that one bread.
Because there is one loaf, we who are many are one body, · for we all partake of the one loaf.
Because there is one loaf, we are one body, although we are many individuals. All of us share one loaf.
Because the loaf of bread is one, we, though many, are one body, for we all partake of the one loaf.
Since there is one loaf, we who are many are one body; for we all partake of the one loaf.
Since there is one bread, we who are many are one body; for we all partake of the one bread.
Because there is one bread, we who are many are one body, for we all partake of the one bread.
Because there is one loaf of bread, we who are many are one body, because we all share that one loaf.
Because there is one bread, we who are many are one body, for we all share the one bread.
Just as there is one loaf, so we who are many are one body. We all share the one loaf.
Because there is one loaf, we, who are many, are one body, for we all share the one loaf.
Because there is one loaf, we, who are many, are one body, for we all share the one loaf.
For we, though many, are one bread and one body; for we all partake of that one bread.
There is one bread, and many of us Christians make up the body of Christ. All of us eat from that bread.
And though we are many, we all eat from one loaf of bread, showing that we are one body.
Because we, though we be many, yet are one bread and one body, inasmuch as we are all partakers of one bread.
Because there is one bread, we who are many are one body, for we all partake of the one bread.
Because there is one bread, we who are many are one body, for we all partake of the one bread.
Because there is one bread, we who are many are one body, for we all partake of the one bread.
Because there is one bread, we who are many are one body, for we all partake of the one bread.
There is one loaf; well, then, there may be several of us, but we are one body, because we all share the one loaf.
Because the matzoh is echad, we, many as we are, are one body, one new humanity, for we all partake of the matzoh echad.
For we who are many, are one bread and one body, because we are all partakers of one bread.
Because there is one bread, we who are many are one body, for we all partake of the one bread.
Because there is one bread, we who are many are one body, for we all partake of the one bread.
Since there is one bread, we who are many are one body—for we all partake of the one bread.
Because there is one bread, we, though many, are also one body since we all share one bread.
Because there is one loaf of bread, we, who are many, are one body; for we all partake of the one loaf of bread.
The bread is all one loaf. In the same way, we are many people but we are one body. We all eat from the same loaf.
For we many be one bread and one body, all we that take part of one bread and of one cup.
because one bread, one body, are we the many -- for we all of the one bread do partake.
